The Milestone Inn

My wife and I needed a room for one night as Woodbury residents, and we're glad we chose The Milestone. The room was neat and clean, and the beds and bedding were really comfortable. The owners were lovely and very accommodating, clearly focused on their customers. We found Milestone Inn totally charming. We'd stay again when needed and plan to have relatives stay there too. Really happy with the choice.

The main snag was the phone and keypad check-in, with no staff at the desk. It works if everything goes smoothly, but when our reservation was mislabeled, we had to handle all the back-and-forth calls ourselves. The motel was efficient once the problem was fixed, and the glitch was in the third-party dot-com reservation, not their fault, but the motel offered zero help and sounded mostly indifferent on the phone. For a drive-up-and-park place, it was surprisingly quiet and well kept, and decent value. The room was nice, not fancy but not trashed, just what you'd want from a budget place to rest your bones. Better than Motel 6 if you're after no-frills rest, but don't expect pampering.

It's so quiet and peaceful here. No doors slamming, toilets flushing, showers, or kids running and yelling in the halls or on the stairs all night. The coffee pot and fridge worked well, and there were plenty of towels. I work at an upscale Inn in NYS, so I tend to inspect everything in a room. The sheets were clean and tight, there wasn't a hair anywhere or dust on anything, and the bed was comfortable. We travel a lot, and this will be our new place to stay. Late check-in was easy, and the woman who helped by phone was very friendly. Thank you!

Four of us shared a room for one night and were comfortable. The accommodations were clean, quiet, and well supplied, and there was a pleasant atmosphere for an evening walk outside at the edge of the woods. We picked this inn last spring because it was convenient for the family event we were attending. It's not a resort or luxury hotel, just a good spot for a night or two. We plan to come back this spring.
