Staybridge Suites Sacramento - Woodland by IHG

Our bedroom suite was spacious and very clean, and the shower had amazing water pressure. The hotel was quiet overall, and it’s right off the freeway and close to lots of restaurants. Breakfast had only the basics, with limited options. We had a good stay and would consider this place again if we’re in the area.

I stayed here for work from Oct 6-20 and had to rebook every seven days for billing. Since my job requires me to sleep during the day, the repeated housekeeping problems were especially frustrating. Check-in was delayed more than three hours because the system was down. The room seemed fine at first, but toiletries were never refilled, and after eight days I found a previous guest’s trash still in the kitchen cabinet. I gave the place the benefit of the doubt because the front desk staff were friendly. After nearly two weeks without cleaning, I asked the front desk to arrange housekeeping and clearly explained that I sleep during the day because of night shifts. He confirmed my room would be cleaned Saturday morning. I left early to give them time, but returned a day later around 5PM to find it untouched. The “manager,” Rebecca, was dismissive and unhelpful. She said it was scheduled for the next day, which was that day, and told me housekeeping comes at 9:30 AM. After another long night shift without sleep, I adjusted my schedule again, but when I returned at 1:20PM the room still hadn’t been cleaned. I rarely write reviews, but this was consistently disappointing service. If you care about cleanliness, basic service, and competent management, look elsewhere.

They’re wonderful and accommodating with their long term guests. Since I was staying for a while, they paid attention to my specific needs and room request. The amenities are great, and the room is cozy and nice to come back to after a long workday. These guys are the best. Thanks, and I look forward to coming back!

We booked a reasonably sized suite, and the amenities were very useful. The room was pleasant and clean, but when we woke up the next morning there were ants because we’d left a pastry on the table. I’d recommend increasing pest control.
