Super 8 by Wyndham Waco/Mall area TX

This Super 8 offers good value if you need an affordable, dependable place to sleep without extras. It’s a no-frills property, a little dated in spots, but maintained well for the price. The location was convenient, parking was easy, and the Wi-Fi worked reliably. Breakfast was simple but enough. My room was clean, the bed comfortable, and everything worked as expected. Staff were polite and helpful, and check-in and checkout were quick and straightforward. A solid stay for a budget hotel. Four stars.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed itself was comfortable too, though whoever made it left a huge ridge from the undercover. I had to pull apart half the bedding to smooth it out. Not a big deal, just not how beds are usually made. The place is older and upkeep hasn’t fully caught up, either. For what you get, the price felt a bit high. The continental breakfast was coffee, a plastic-wrapped honey bun, bananas, and apples. We decided not to stay another night when they were going to charge us more for one extra night, even though they weren’t full.

We needed a room at the last minute, late at night, and the mid-shift woman working until 11 pm, whose name I can’t remember, found us a ground-floor room. It was clean, comfortable, and very affordable. I’d definitely recommend the place and stay again.

The linens looked and felt really clean, and the shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water. I found the mattress and pillows terrific, and getting to the hotel from the highway was easy. The room setup was straightforward, with easy access, coffee, and a fridge. Breakfast was minimal, but that didn’t bother me.
