Lodge Inn

The location worked perfectly for me, whether you’re heading to the base or just passing through. I had a great stay at the Lodge Inn in Wrightstown, NJ. The room was better than I expected for the price, with a comfortable bed and everything working. It was quiet after a long day, too. The whole place felt clean and cozy, and the friendly staff made me feel welcome right away. I’d stay again, it’s a simple, relaxing little spot.

Wi-Fi was reliable for video calls and email, and the room had a handy desk for getting work done in the evening. I was here on a short work trip, and the whole stay was comfortable and easy. Check-in was quick, the staff stayed friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. I’ll book again next time I’m working in the area.

I still haven’t gotten the $307.83 refund, despite buying booking protection. It’s been more than a week of unanswered calls and emails to the hotel, and the people I reached were rude. Whenever I asked for the manager on duty, they conveniently weren’t there. Expedia and Hotels.com say the Inn keeps denying my claim; the third parties seem to be working on it, but keep returning with the same result. The woman at the Lodge Inn blamed the third parties for the refund decision, while they say it’s up to the Inn. I’ve been given the runaround and no follow-up at all. I understand a no-refund policy when you don’t buy protection, but I did, and now they seem to want me to eat the cost and drop it. I booked because the hotel had good cleanliness reviews and was close to where my son would be. The website said non-smoking rooms were available, but after booking for myself, my daughter, and her friend, I realized we’d been assigned a smoking room. My daughter has severe smoke allergies and asthma, and there were no non-smoking rooms available when I tried to change it. I cancelled and used the booking protection to request a full refund, then had to book another hotel while waiting. I won’t stop until this is made right, and I’ll take legal action if I have to. Nobody should have to waste time and money like this while trying to visit loved ones in the military. It feels like, “We got your money, we’re ignoring you and hope you’ll go away!” I wonder if this review will even be published, or whether half the reviews are from real people. Be cautious booking here or at similar hotels. I won’t let this go until it’s resolved.

This is a late review from my April stay. The room was clean, the staff were nice, and I enjoyed being there. I’d come back.
