La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas - Wylie

The room was small, but the location was great and the stay was pleasant apart from the customer service. I had the do not disturb sign out, yet housekeeping knocked twice before checkout.

We were there over Mother's Day weekend, and I won't be going back. The elevator moved so slowly we all wondered if it was broken. The room was hot, and the AC wouldn't cool it down. There was no hot water in either the sink or shower, the water pressure was poor, and I found black hair in the shower when we arrived. This place needs repairs and better management. It felt like they were cutting corners to save money. I'd give it zero stars if I could. 😥

The room was fairly clean and the staff were nice, but I wouldn't come back. There was a huge cockroach on the fourth floor, and after staff sprayed a bunch of Raid the room stank. The smell got into clothes I'd put away in the closet for the funeral I was attending, so I had to buy at least one new shirt. If you're a light sleeper, go elsewhere. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything, including an alarm two rooms away going off at 6 a.m. for 20 minutes because nobody was there to turn it off. The bathroom light was stuck on because its motion light switch was broken. Hot water in the sink didn't work, and the toilet wasn't secured to the floor. There were no smart TVs either, so I couldn't watch much of what I wanted. Breakfast eggs were probably the worst I've had, and I was in the Marines, so I've had some bad eggs.

The water never got past lukewarm, even after I left it running for an hour and checked several times, so I couldn't take a bath or shower. Breakfast the next morning wasn't good, average at best. We won't stay here again.
