The rooms were clean and well equipped, with full-size fridges, dishwashers, sinks, and stovetops. The pool and hot tub area were clean and nice, and we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves when we went down. Breakfast was good, though I was hoping they'd have bacon one day. Best of all was Sierra at the front desk. I hope I have her name spelled right. She was there at check-in, check-out, and most days in between, always greeting us warmly. One morning she was cleaning while still making time to say hello. She's a hardworking, thoughtful person with great attention to detail and customer service. I thought she was the manager, and I hope she is, or becomes one. Great hotel for the price.

The front desk employee who helped us end our stay early was pleasant and understanding. The room itself was a very upsetting letdown. The shower had no sliding door, so water got onto the floor; the microwave didn't work because of a power failure; the heating was inconsistent and smelled burnt; and the TV's HDMI ports wouldn't work with our gaming system. That's why this is a 2/5 rather than a 1/5.

The hotel was clean, but the TV started falling off the wall when I moved it. Staff didn't believe me at first. I asked the manager whether they would check the other rooms, and he said there was no need and they wouldn't. Apparently guest safety isn't a concern. Good luck!

Lauren at the front desk is sweet and doing her best in a new job. Housekeeping was nice, and everyone spoke to us. I was impressed by how clean the place was, and the room was a good size and very comfortable. Management sorted out my issue quickly and seemed genuinely sorry for the mistake. I also had to apologize for my own actions. If I'm in this part of Michigan again, I'd stay here without hesitation.

The location was fine, but I arrived at 9 p.m. ready for bed and found a freezing room with a broken thermostat and a bad smell. If they can't provide the basics, a clean room that works, I can't recommend the place. I checked out and was told to call in the morning about a refund, which was an extra chore. I ended up finding another Marriott nearby.
