Fairfield Inn & Suites Towanda Wysox

After a long travel day, Curtis checked us in with real patience and kindness. He was courteous and helpful, and made us feel at home. The Fairfield Inn by Marriott was clean and comfortable, with a calm, welcoming feel, and the staff seemed attentive throughout. Thanks to the whole team for a pleasant stay. We look forward to coming back when we're in the area.

Breakfast was far better than at most Marriott's we've stayed in. Ina and the kitchen team did their best for my husband despite how busy breakfast was, and Sara, Sarah, Jay, and the other front desk staff were helpful day after day. Housekeeping kept everything sparkling, and the whole staff deserves recognition. Marquise is doing a great job managing the team. Even when the toilet broke, maintenance fixed it quickly and properly. We were there for 8 nights at the Fairfield Inn in Towanda at the beginning of October, in room 129 from Oct 3-11, 2025. We travel around the country and stay exclusively at Marriott properties as Bonvoy members. The hotel was busy every day, surprising for such a small, remote town, but it was continually cleaned and well maintained. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. I wish I had gotten everyone's name so I could thank them individually. It was one of our most pleasant stays.

I've delivered to this hotel for years, and usually there's been no problem. The trouble seems to happen when one manager is there. She stops food delivery drivers at the desk, delays them, and makes them call the room to say an order is on its way up, even when guests already know from tracking it on their phones. Guests have to wait longer, and I've seen scenes in the lobby over it. There's no meet-in-the-lobby policy posted on the website or for drivers, and guests say it isn't explained at check-in. I haven't seen other workers enforce it, and other hotels in the area where I've stayed don't have this policy. Guests shouldn't have to leave their rooms to collect food or groceries when delivery to the room is convenient, especially after a long drive or when they're there all night. I've contacted corporate because I find this ridiculous. The hotel says there's a safety policy, but it isn't posted or discussed at check-in, and I see guests walk in without checking at the desk. To me, the policy seems to exist only when someone wants to feel important, and I see it as discriminatory when it isn't clearly communicated or applied consistently. If deliveries have to stop at the desk, staff could take them to the rooms themselves instead of harassing drivers. I won't check in to make a delivery. I can leave an order at the front desk for staff to bring up, but this unclear policy just creates more delay and confusion. I don't work for the hotel, and I shouldn't have to deal with this kind of treatment.

The shower pressure was my one complaint, but I'd definitely recommend this place. I stayed in the Towanda area for work a year ago after a miserable experience at another hotel, and the Fairfield exceeded my expectations from check-in to checkout. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and even the complimentary breakfast was good.
