Deluxe Inn Wytheville

For an overnight stop that won’t cost much, this place is worth a look. The room was clean, the lobby had a quaint feel, and the price was great. Breakfast wasn’t anything special, but there was something to eat. The employees were friendly, and I’d stay here again. Give it a chance.

I liked that the sink is in the bathroom, so I could get ready without disturbing a partner who was still sleeping. The place sits back from the main road, which keeps it quiet, and the staff are very nice. Everything was clean, comfortable, well stocked, and looked pleasant. Some people might think it’s a little dated and worn, but I liked it. Breakfast was pretty limited, though I’m not too concerned about that. I was very impressed, and it’s a great place to stay.

The rooms weren’t too bad, but the property itself was really dirty. They used to be a Best Western and were at least acceptable then. I gave them two tries since, and that’s enough for me. The advertised continental breakfast was just Cheerios and little packets of instant cereal that needed water. For drinks there was coffee and a jug of Sunny Delight. The price is good, but still too much for this experience. I’m done and won’t go back.

The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and we slept like babies. The woman at the front desk got us checked in quickly at 2am and was really friendly. For the price, the comfort was a steal. We’d stopped at the Deluxe Inn on our way to Atlanta and liked it so much we came back on the way home. It’s tucked away just off the highway, and the room was clean and quiet, a blessing after the awful place we’d been at down the road. At Motel 6 in Whythville, we saw four live cockroaches within five minutes of entering our room, so we gave up the money we’d paid and came up the street.
