The room and beds were comfortable, everything was very clean, and the customer service was amazing. We’ll definitely stay here again. A big thank you to the manager on duty and Dvon, who spent over an hour helping us sort out a booking problem. Booking.com had taken our money but not sent it to the hotel. They explained that they had proof the charge went through, made several calls, and eventually got Booking.com to find the payment and send it over. They went way out of their way for us. I’ve never had a manager help so much while staying so polite. Thank you, AVID.

The staff were warm, friendly, and always helpful, and there are shops and a grocery market just a block away in a nice little area. The bed, linens, and pillows were all super comfortable. The room setup was inconvenient, though. There’s no closet, just about six wall hooks, and I had to ask for extra hangers at check-in. There aren’t any drawers either, only two small cubbies for a few folded things or shoes. No in-room coffee maker, so if you want coffee very early, you have to get dressed and head down to the lobby. There’s no microwave in the room, either, so heating a light meal means going downstairs. The lobby microwave was disgustingly dirty. I think it was cleaned maybe twice during my four-week stay.

The breakfast was really great, and the staff were super friendly. It’s a good value place, though the shower had very poor water pressure. The AC also struggled on the top floor. They’d had plumbing issues while we were there, so maybe that was temporary.

The location is good, and I’d stayed here before without any problems, but this visit was a horrible experience. The hotel was under construction, with dust and debris in the hallways and elevator. My room walls needed wiping down, with food and other things on them. There was mold around the toilet rim and in the sink, and the toilet paper holder was coming off the wall. Cleanliness overall was poor. The staff were rude and condescending.
