The Hilton Honors app made arrival easy: I chose my room, checked in without going to the desk, and the digital key worked as it should. Our second-floor room looked onto the courtyard and dog park, and it was quiet on Thursday night. Breakfast had plenty of good options, and I especially liked the yogurt machine. The place was clean, fresh, and lively. At about $30 less per night than the next cheapest choice, while most name-brand places nearby were $100+ a night, this Spark property felt like it offered a lot for the price, even as an “economy” brand.

The courtyard dog park was a hit with my dog, and there’s a nice view of town too. This is an older place that’s been renovated, so don’t expect a new Hilton Garden Inn. Spark is an economy plus brand, and it shows in the good value: clean rooms, tasteful updates, comfy beds, and a decent breakfast spread. I was glad they had oat milk for those of us who don’t do dairy. Charming spot for a budget stay.

We’ve come back a couple of times a year for several years, and the highway access and gas station right next door are handy. The recent updates were a nice surprise, and it was good to see some familiar staff along with new smiling faces. Ashley was accommodating when we checked in late. The beds were comfortable, the pool was clean, and the hot tub was properly hot, just how I like it. Breakfast now runs until 10:00 a.m., which suits late sleepers like us, though we missed the little sausage biscuits from before. The choices were limited for our taste, but fine for a quick bite before driving on. Friendly staff and a good stay; I’d recommend it.

We got locked out of our rental van while driving home from vacation, so we needed a room at short notice. I picked The Spark by Hilton at random and was pleasantly surprised. Our rooms were extremely clean, including the bathrooms. The next morning we split up, leaving my mom and young kids in the lobby for about three hours while others looked for help with the van. The woman at the desk was so pleasant and made them feel comfortable while they waited. The staff really accommodated my family. We’d stay again, and I highly recommend it.
