GuestHouse Inn Yakima

Guesthouse Inn in Yakima is easily my favorite place to stay when we come to town. We tried several other places before finding it, and this one makes me feel safe in a town dealing with a lot of trouble. The staff are warm and helpful, especially the night shift, and it's reassuring to know someone is there around the clock if you need anything. Rooms are cozy, clean, and have most of the comforts of home. Five stars doesn't do it justice, I'd give it ten. Thanks, Guesthouse Inn! 👏🏻❤👍🏻❤👏🏻

The shower soap and shampoo dispensers are a handy touch if you've forgotten your own, and seem more economical than little bottles or bars. My room was clean, had no odd smells or other problems, and was quiet after hours. Staff answered my questions well and were friendly. Breakfast in the morning tasted good too.

Our bank account was hit with overdraft fees because the charges came through at the start of the month, when our bills are automatically withdrawn. For the third week, we saw $230.40 for four nights, then another $378.00 and $25.00, making $633.40 in three charges for one week. My husband works out of town and has stayed here for three weeks. He was charged double for each of the first two weeks as well. I called and spoke to Nichole, who said she was the manager and the only person I could talk to. She claimed she'd fixed things for my husband and six other men from his company who'd also been overcharged, but her account didn't match what my husband had just told me. She was very rude and acted put out, offered nothing for the trouble, and wouldn't speak with me even though the account is mine. She also wouldn't get authorization from my husband, who was busy working. It took a lot of back and forth to sort out our issue. My husband has traveled for a decade and we've never had anything like this, especially that level of rudeness from a manager. I'd be wary. Something doesn't seem right with the hotel's billing.

Jason at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating, he's the best part of this place. The room was clean, though it looked like a motel from the 80s. It's close to the convention center, so it's a convenient little spot where you can save some money. I'd stay again :)
