Travelodge West Yarmouth Cape Cod

The owner was friendly and took the initiative to bring us extra towels for the kids. The room was updated, with newer furniture and sink, though the bathtub wasn't. LED lights in the room and behind the mirror over the sink made the space much brighter. They take their no-smoking and no-pets rules very seriously. After dinner we realized our room hadn't locked, and the kids could open the door without a card key. The surroundings felt safe, though. We locked it from the inside and my husband tried opening it from outside. That seemed fine, so we didn't change rooms.

The room was much nicer than I expected, especially after some pretty depressing motor inn stays elsewhere. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the AC worked very well. There was an air purifier or dehumidifier running when we arrived, I'm not sure which, but we appreciated the white noise while sleeping. Housekeeping wasn't provided during our visit because of covid, which didn't bother us. We booked at the last minute for a spontaneous Cape trip in mid-August, during peak season. Staff were accommodating, and a late check-in was no problem when we were unexpectedly delayed. The place is close to some beautiful beaches and four minutes from the Cape Cod Rail Trail trailhead, which is great for biking. I trust this location now and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

We had two queen beds, and the room was pretty spacious for the price. The office staff were pleasant. The grab-and-go Covid breakfast wasn't anything special, and there was no daily housekeeping because of Covid either. Neither was a big deal for us.

I didn't travel with an animal, but the hotel called and accused me of having a dog in my room. They were totally rude and said they'd charge me a cleaning fee. Horrible service. Do not stay here.
