The staff were really kind and helpful, and I liked how dark the curtains were since I’m a light sleeper. The place is a little dated and dingy, and the floors could use a proper mopping. The walls are thin, and there’s some road noise from the highway next door, which is to be expected. I felt safe, though. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice. It’s right on Main Street, close to gas stations and breakfast spots, and you can drive a mile or two or walk for shopping and food. A pretty good motel overall, and I’d stay again if I needed to.

The Days inn next door cancelled on our whole family, including my 3-year-old, other small children, and elderly relatives, so we were grateful that this Super 8 could fit our large group in. They were friendly and got us into clean, well-organized rooms. They also gave us helpful recommendations and helped us work out how to get around. It made for an easy, welcoming stay.

The manager/owner was accommodating and very nice, and was around even late at night. He offered to get us bagels and cream cheese for the week when we found out there was no breakfast on site. We appreciated the offer, though we said it wasn’t necessary. A few hotel sites incorrectly sell breakfast as part of a package, apparently, but that isn’t Super 8’s fault. The rooms were clean and a good value on the Cape. It seemed like a family business. I’ve seen the complaints, but this is a Super 8, not a five-star resort. We’d stay again if we return to the Cape.

The advertised breakfast was completely missing. The room itself was okay, but the cleanliness could have been better. The air conditioner barely seemed to do anything, and it leaked more water than it put out cool air.

The beds and bathroom were clean, and when we asked to move after a couple of nights because the room smelled strongly of fish, possibly a dead mouse, they moved us without a problem. That’s why I’m giving it two stars instead of one. We were disappointed with this Super 8 in W Yarmouth, since its standards didn’t match what we’ve seen at other hotels in the chain. The listing and photos showed breakfast in the office room, but none was provided. There’s a breakfast place across the street, though it was good and very pricey. All in all, it wasn’t worth the money, and I wouldn’t return.
