Our go-to whenever we're in town. It's quiet, clean, and relaxing, and everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. The staff are friendly and happy to help guests with what they need. We love staying here and definitely recommend it.

I came for the Bentonia Blues Festival and had a great time. The manager was the real highlight, offering helpful tips on getting around and finding good food. My room was extremely clean, and the bathroom and shower were very nice. I’ll be back!

The staff have always been really nice, but after four years of coming here, the place has gotten worse each time. A few years ago, our room key stopped working and they couldn’t remake it, so we had to go to the office for the master key whenever we wanted in. They didn’t offer anything for the trouble. Another time, I walked across the carpet after changing into clean clothes and my socks turned black. This visit was the last straw. I was told I could check in at 2:00. I arrived at 1:45 and understood that I’d have to wait until 2:00, but then they said cleaning would take until around 2:30. By about 2:45 I still couldn’t get into that room, so they moved me to another one. There was no price adjustment. The TV didn’t work either. I was told the owner had forgotten to pay the satellite bill, so there were no channels at all, not even regular ones. The bathtub wouldn’t drain, and they said nothing could be done. Again, no compensation for missing things you expect in a hotel room. There was a strong mildew or mold smell in the room, and when I mentioned it at checkout, they just shrugged. I was paying $134 for a room I couldn’t get into on time, that wasn’t very clean, smelled awful, had a tub that wouldn’t drain, and had no TV. When I first started staying here about three years ago, rooms were around $89. I know prices have gone up, but this was too much for what I got. Yazoo City doesn’t have many hotel choices, so next time I’m passing through I’ll have to stay an hour or more away to find somewhere decent. The employees have been consistently kind; the owner just doesn’t seem willing to maintain the hotel.

Paid $90 for a clean, updated motel room, and breakfast was a nice extra. There’s a gravel lot that works for trailers and larger vehicles.
