Sleep Inn North - Central York

The room and building were decent, but the complimentary breakfast was very limited. There wasn’t much else to choose from, and the hot food, including eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes, had run out by 7 a.m. and wasn’t replaced. Traffic noise was also loud all night, probably because the soundproofing is poor.

The friendly check-in and the hotel’s outside appearance gave me a good first impression. That changed after dark, when I noticed how dusty the room was. The bottom half of the fitted sheet was disgusting and looked like it hadn’t been changed in a long time. The room only had conditioner and lotion, with no shampoo or body wash. I also couldn’t find a checkout employee to tell about any of it.

We love this area, and the hotel is centrally located. The rooms are a nice size, and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was hot and delicious, and the customer service was great. This has become our place to stay in York, and we’ll definitely come back.

I’d stay here again. It’s one of the better reasonably priced hotels in the area, and the breakfast buffet was really good. You can do laundry there, too. The woman who checked me in and made my reservation was awesome, though another front desk clerk acted like they couldn’t be bothered. The bed was at least three feet high, so I had to climb up and found it hard to get settled. I slept great once I was in it. That seems to be a bed issue shared by other hotels, though, so I don’t blame this hotel.
