North Block Hotel

What stood out most was how helpful everyone was, from the front desk and bartender to the gardeners. Whatever their job descriptions, we felt their main concern was making sure guests were happy. The hotel was just the right size for us, spacious but still small, with appealing design that felt sharp without being overdone. The bathrooms were great too. We loved this delightful place.

We only stayed one day, and I wish we’d booked a few more. North Block was a great base in beautiful Yountvillle. They greeted us with a smile and a glass of wine, and the service was top notch. The rooms were immaculate, with pristine sheets, and everything was furnished by RH next door. There’s a great restaurant next door too, plus a complimentary drink at the bar. We rented bikes into town and stopped at The French Laundry, Bouchon Bakery, and Bistro Jeantry, all just minutes away. I highly recommend it for a Napa visit.

My wife and I spent about a week here, and we enjoyed the location, the property, and especially the staff. One of my favorite moments was grabbing a cookie in the main lobby and ending up in conversation with the team. They’re among the nicest people we’ve met on our travels. We couldn’t recommend this place more. Thank you.

The service made this a wonderful experience from start to finish. David welcomed us with a delicious chocolate chip cookie, Carter checked in about our stay and helped arrange a complimentary wine tasting, and Heike was so kind at breakfast on both mornings. The housekeeping team came by several times to see if we needed anything, and we were grateful for the comfortable bed. Lupita kindly showed us where the spa and massage rooms were. I’ve never been treated so nicely at a hotel. The gorgeous place looks like a little Italian city, and it’s beautiful for pictures too. I hope to come back soon.
