Klamath Motor Lodge

I really liked the bright, clean room and its geometric, abstract design. It was nice having a coffee pot, hot cups, complimentary coffee and tea packets, plus a little microwave and mini fridge. The complimentary shower caps were a bonus. There’s a shower in the room, but no bathtub. I could hear other guests through the wall, and I couldn’t get into the locked ice room. At night, guests gathered loudly in the walkways, which felt sketchy, and some doors were covered because of painting and updates. For me, it was a 4/5 experience.

The woman at check-in was very sweet, which is why I gave service 3 stars. I’d booked and paid in advance for a king bed, but got a full instead. I’d already unloaded all my things from the car before noticing and didn’t feel like asking to move, though I should have. After that, things got worse. The carpet was covered in loose dirt, like it hadn’t been vacuumed. The toilet paper had clearly been soaked, and there was no way staff hadn’t noticed before putting it out. The sheets had a lot of stains and hair on them.

We’ll be back. The king bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean. The room was quiet and easy to find. It had a big-screen TV, a small fridge, a microwave, and a little coffee pot with a coffee bag. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were in wall dispensers by the shower.

I’ve stayed in Yreka a few times, and this has been the best hotel, with a great price too. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, the granite and stone showers are nice, and the location is good. It’s super quiet, and the staff are good.
