La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham Yucaipa

We were in the ADA room beside the gym, and the early risers there woke us up some mornings. The gym looked great and stays open 24/7, but a few days we wanted to sleep past 6am. We didn’t hear noise from the other rooms. The staff were amazing, polite, and really helpful. When we realized we’d forgotten hygiene supplies, they had extras for us. The lobby was a relaxing place to sit, with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cold water available around the clock. Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower had strong pressure with hot water right away. Breakfast included waffles, cereal, yogurt, apple and orange juice, and a hot buffet.

Parking was plentiful and easy, and the hotel’s location made it convenient to reach restaurants, shops, and freeways. Check-in went smoothly, and the front desk staff were friendly and offered helpful local recommendations. The clean, welcoming lobby and common areas made a nice first impression. The room was spacious and functional, with a good bed, decent TV, and free Wi-Fi. It was generally comfortable and clean, though the décor and fixtures felt dated next to newer hotels. Breakfast was a simple continental spread, nothing fancy, but enough to get the day started. La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Yucaipa is a comfortable, reliable place to stay if you’re passing through or visiting the area. A solid four stars for value and convenience.

The breakfast was just mid, and the bananas were heavily browned. I wasn’t impressed with the rest of the food, but it was easy enough to walk a couple of feet to the AM/PM next door and grab something else. The grounds and rooms were super clean, which matters a lot to me in a hotel. It’s conveniently right off the freeway and next to a gas station. Inside was quiet, and the well-stocked coffee bar and lobby were a nice place to sit. I also appreciated having public bathrooms in the lobby so I didn’t have to head all the way back up to my room. Everyone, from the women at the front desk to the housekeepers, was friendly and courteous.

The hotel was decent and clean, and the front desk staff were kind and professional. My main disappointment was going three nights without housekeeping: no bed made, fresh towels, or trash removal. When I raised it downstairs, the woman at the desk asked when I was leaving. I said the next day, and she told me housekeeping only comes after three nights. That hadn’t been explained at check-in, and I couldn’t find the policy online. Her explanation seemed to come only after I told her how long I’d stayed and when I was leaving. In more than ten years of travel, I’ve never run into this without clear notice. It was confusing, too, because housekeeping knocked on my door the first morning. If I’d known the policy upfront, I could have planned or asked for service sooner. The staff did give me fresh towels when I brought up the issue, but having to go to the lobby for them while on vacation wasn’t ideal. Clear information at check-in would’ve helped a lot. The stay was okay overall, but guests should hear about the housekeeping policy in advance so they know what to expect.
