The owners and front desk team were welcoming, professional, and really nice. Our king room was roomy and had excellent lighting, and the shower and bath had plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included, with fresh bagels and muffins. The on-site laundry was handy at $1.25 a load, and the small pool and hot tub area felt inviting, with hanging bistro lights adding a cozy touch. This is an older property with outdoor corridors and no elevator, and the front faces a busy highway. Even so, the walls were thicker than we expected. We left the bathroom fan running overnight and it drowned out the outside noise, so we slept fine. The Days Inn in Yuma, AZ is also right across from several restaurants, all easy to reach on foot. The ice machine wasn’t working while we were there, which is why I’m giving it four stars. Otherwise, the stay beat our expectations, and we’d happily return.

You can hear trucks and emergency vehicles clearly because the hotel sits on a main street. If that kind of noise doesn’t bother you, it’s a great spot. Restaurants, shops, and big department stores are under a two-minute walk away, and Highway 8 is less than a minute by car. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of parking. The shower had fantastic hot water, definitely worth mentioning. The breakfast area is small, but it had what we needed for a light meal. The staff were very kind. Highly recommended.

We told them we’d arrive around 4 or 5 a.m., then checked in at 4:45 only to be told a no-show fee had been charged and we’d have to make a walk-in reservation. We accepted that and paid $390.89 for two rooms for two nights, including a refundable $50 incidental fee, then went to rest. When we woke, we found several charges on our card totaling $1,014.80. We called to ask what had happened and got the runaround. We were told they didn’t know when the manager would be in, then that the manager wouldn’t be in until Monday. We emailed the front desk and GM several times and got no call or response to investigate. Eventually the GM account replied, but it turned out the email was from front desk employee Jessica. She said she had sent receipts, but the amounts on them differed from the original charge and from the emails Karina had sent the day before. All $1,014.80 is still pending, and we haven’t been told what was done to fix it. The incorrect charges, the front desk’s lack of care and communication, and the unprofessional handling of this have been unbelievable. On Monday we’ll take it to the bank, show them the different amounts in the emails and charges, and open an investigation into this location.

We’ve stayed here twice, each time for three weeks while going across the border for dental work, and the savings were great. It’s close to everything, clean, and the employees are friendly. Good value, too. The pool and hot tub were always working. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, muffins, Raisin Bran, Fruit Loops, apples, oranges, juice, yogurt, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, and oatmeal packets.

The manager was very helpful when our reservation had a problem. They got us into a different room in about 10 minutes, so thank you for that. There are restaurants nearby, along with a movie theater and Sam’s Club. The room was clean, and the beds were okay, a little firm rather than too soft. The shower had good pressure. I’m giving it three stars because the microwave was missing its handle and couldn’t be used, and the military planes overhead were freaking loud. Forget trying to get to sleep early. Breakfast was pretty basic, with cereal, egg, meat patties, yogurt, muffins, coffee, and similar things.
