The tent was roomy, with a couch, a single bed, and a larger bed that I think was a queen. There was a reading chair beside it and a little table with a lantern, which came in handy. The heaters warmed the whole tent, and the bed and pillows were surprisingly comfortable. The pool and views were lovely, and the bathrooms were warmer and nicer than I expected. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and the Wi-Fi worked without any trouble. I was traveling alone last weekend and showed up without a reservation, but they found me a glamping tent for one night. My first room hadn’t been cleaned, so I had to go back and wait while they moved me. It was a small hassle, nothing more. They’d turned on the heaters while checking the room, so it was already warming up when I arrived. I only had the one night, and the stargazing was called off because of clouds, which was a bummer but out of anyone’s hands. This feels more like a summer or fall place for families, and it’s a long way off the beaten path, though my rear-wheel-drive coupe managed fine. I’d like to return when it’s warmer and stay longer. For one night, it was just right and reasonably priced for somewhere near Zion.

My Cowboy Cabin was far too hot when I arrived, probably because the heater had been left on by the last guest or the cleaning staff. The ceiling fan barely moved, so cooling the place down was hard. I also found the beds uncomfortable and the pillows thin and flimsy. I wasn’t expecting luxury, but the sleep setup let me down. The shower rooms had no shampoo or conditioner either. Not a big deal, though it would’ve been a nice extra. Even with those issues, I really liked the property. It’s clean, well cared for, and beautiful throughout the day, with lovely views. The pool, spa, and shower rooms were my favorite amenities, and the cowboy cabins are an affordable choice. I’d happily come back, and hope the comfort and amenities get some attention by then.

We made some great family memories at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort and are already looking forward to coming back. The covered wagon was a fun, unusual place to stay, especially for the kids. They had plenty to keep busy with, from mini golf and the pool to ping pong in the recreation room. We also tried the on-site restaurant, where my husband was especially taken with the pizza. The setting near Zion National Park made the trip feel even more special, and the resort had an easygoing, family-friendly feel. A few spots, including the pool and shower facilities, could use an update, but that didn’t take away from our stay. There’s a lot to do for different ages, and we left with wonderful memories. Five stars from our family.

Dinner and lunch were both very good for a resort, and the coffee was nice too. I’d skip breakfast next time. The staff were friendly, and there was plenty to do around the resort, but book activities ahead since they fill up quickly. We had a cabin with bunk beds. The bunks and king bed were very nice, though the queen was a bit uncomfortable. The heating worked well, but there was pretty much no air conditioning.

The showers were dingy and gross, and it was hard to feel clean afterward. I’ll leave it at that. Sharing bathrooms was expected since that’s what we booked, but the condition of them was the one downside. The log cabin itself was perfect for chilly November nights around 30 degrees, with heaters inside, and it brought back those childhood camping memories. The resort was accommodating, the staff were all so nice, and we enjoyed the breakfast, lunch, dinner, and great coffee. The hot tub was a real plus, and Zion park was so close. Loved the experience overall.
