The mosquitoes are wild, but they do have ways to deal with them. Cabo was a great place to stay, with a real family feel. The staff were so friendly and made things cozy. Gabriel, Tees and Lourdes, thanks so much! Would recommend!!

There’s lots of space to hang out indoors and outside, which made the small rooms no problem at all. Viejo Lobo was beautiful and clean, and the people working and volunteering there were so kind and friendly. They cook a delicious dinner every night at a very affordable price. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it!

We’d booked another hostel first, but a recent power loss left it full, and they couldn’t update the online listing. They brought us to Viejo Lobo instead, and we loved it there. Gabriel and Alê were so warm and welcoming, and the staff made it feel like a home away from home. Hope we run into you again!

The dorms are a bit tight, but they’re clean. It’s a very homely place, close to the beach, the 4*4 stop, and the market. The atmosphere is great, with someone, usually a guest, almost always playing guitar and singing most nights. They also cook a delicious dinner you can buy for relatively cheap.

For anyone with rolling luggage, you can get all the way there over mostly floor and just 5% hard sand, so make sure to pick the right hostel. It’s decent for the price, and they offer super at a reasonable cost. They also let you visit the city, which is worth it. Just don’t expect perfection at that price.
