The hosts were very polite, and the walk into the historic center, about 1.6 km to the lighthouse and historic buildings, took around 15 minutes and was pleasant. It also gave us access to the best spots, and the property is near the port for the shuttle to Buenos Aires, Argentina. The room upkeep fell short: there was damp damage, and the old mattresses had unpleasant smells. Prices were about average for Colonia, but I'd take more time to compare, since there are plenty of good places at similar rates.

Ariel and Carla made us feel completely at home, they were so kind and attentive. The neighborhood was quiet and the location worked really well. Our room had lots of space, a very comfortable bed, a good shower with strong water pressure, and excellent facilities otherwise. I'd gladly come back and recommend the place.

The owners are really friendly, and it was easy to walk to several places of interest. Our private room had its own bathroom, cable TV, and air conditioning, plus a simple breakfast. For a hostel, the price felt fair for what was provided.

The owners were lovely and attentive, and the Wi-Fi was good. But the room was dirty and smelled bad, and the bathroom was disgusting, as if it hadn't been cleaned for months. Breakfast was very skimpy, and the TV seemed to be there just for decoration. I wouldn't come back even if they paid me.
