Mario and Sergio made my wife and me feel welcome and comfortable at la Casa de los Limoneros. When we arrived, they’d prepared a “small lunch” for us: lovely lentil stew, empanadas, and a wonderful dish with eggplant spread over bread. We couldn’t stop talking about how pretty and charming the place was. It has a real “farm house” feel, the rooms were very clean and well stocked, and everything worked. The beds were extremely comfortable. There’s Wi-Fi in every room, which was especially helpful since cell reception was poor because of the location. We’ll certainly return for a longer stay!

One of the most comfortable places to stay in Uruguay. Great rooms and service, and it’s so calm and quiet you can hear nature all around. You’ll love it here. Highly recommend 💯

The scenery is breathtaking, and the enormous pool is great for both recreation and relaxing. Breakfast was plentiful and varied too. The air-conditioned rooms have private balconies overlooking the lake. The owners, Mario and Sergio, are simply divine hosts. They cooked us a delicious gourmet menu with an appetizer, homemade bread, a drink, and a main course. We’d return without hesitation!

The rooms, common areas, and garden all feel like home. The place is beautiful, cozy, and well maintained. Best of all is the hospitality: the hosts make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. Mario is warm, exceptionally helpful, and a wonderful host. I’d gladly return whenever I can.
