La Estancia hostel

There’s plenty of capacity, but the hostel fills up quickly in peak season, so it’s best to book ahead. Even when it’s full, you can find a quiet place to meditate. The staff are warm and attentive, and they make an effort to find the best arrangement while respecting each guest’s privacy as much as possible. The garden is enchanting, the decor almost baroque, and the spacious bathrooms and air-conditioned rooms are comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, the Wi-Fi is good and included, and the pool is a much appreciated surprise, especially in summer. There are countless charming corners for relaxing, chatting, or meditating. It feels like somewhere you could spend a whole vacation, connecting with others and switching off instead of staying cooped up in your room like you often do in this kind of accommodation. A lovely place to stay in Colonia, with a comfortable family atmosphere.

It’s a house that takes in guests, not a hostel. The place was dirty, cramped, and full of spiders. The homeowner was friendly, which was the one positive, but I still wouldn’t recommend staying there.

Daniel made us feel welcome right away, and the place is so comfortable you feel at home. A lovely spot to unwind. Highly recommend it.

We had the whole hostel for my mom's 50th birthday, and Daniel was such a friendly, helpful host. There are plants everywhere, just the way the birthday girl likes them, and the house is full of paintings and all kinds of things. It had everything we could want for a family trip.
