The location in town is good, and the staff were friendly. The shared spaces look good, and the entrance makes a very nice first impression. But the room itself is extremely outdated, and the bed didn’t even have a protective duvet cover. I wouldn’t come here if work hadn’t brought me to the area.

The pool was really nice, and breakfast was okay. The property is very old and the rooms were small. It’s on a quiet street, about a five-minute walk to the ferry terminal and also around five minutes from all the restaurants.

For what I paid, I’d rather have stayed in an Airbnb than in this small, outdated room. The sheets weren’t clean, and there was no privacy at all. The place was nothing like what I saw online. The location is excellent, but I don’t understand how this hotel got a three-star rating when it doesn’t even meet that standard.

10/10
The staff are super friendly, and the rooms, though they may seem small, are tidy and in very good condition. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are worth recommending. The Hotel Italiano is really a four-star hotel in disguise. Highly recommend it, and I’ll definitely return!

The pool is magnificent, and breakfast was well up to par. The facilities were much better than I expected from a three-star hotel. I booked a 'luxury room' in the new part of the hotel for two nights. It was quite nice, with a spacious, comfortable bed, though there was a strange damp smell until I switched on the AC. Noise from the neighbors was loud enough to wake me. The staff were friendly but had a bit of an attitude. I’d come back if the price were better, and I’d definitely bring earplugs.
