Hotel del Espinillo

I remember this being a very good hotel years ago, which makes the state of it now a shame. It's a lovely place, though the facilities aren't modern and it feels run-down. On my last stay the bathroom was filthy, the room was dusty and hadn't been cleaned, and I even killed a huge spider in the bedroom. It was a bad experience, and I wouldn't go back.

The outdoor pool was enjoyable and it's a nice place, but breakfast is poor and costs extra. The shower was the main problem for me: the head was too high and sprayed water everywhere.

The value for money could be better since the hotel isn't cheap, though it's definitely the best place to stay in Dolores. There's covered parking about 30 meters away. The riverfront setting is nice, and the country-style hotel has spacious rooms and a lovely pool. Breakfast is good, but I'd like more choices, such as scrambled eggs, and fewer flour-based dishes. The air conditioning could use an update, and the bathroom faucets need maintenance.

The hotel is spotless, well cared for, and clean, with protected parking. Breakfast is plentiful, and you can enjoy it overlooking the neat garden. What stood out most was the service. The staff are kind and respectful, and they make a real effort to address guests' concerns with professionalism and goodwill. It's excellent service, better than what I've had at many top-category hotels. I'd recommend it without hesitation.
