There was only one staff member, so getting anything resolved felt impossible. My shower didn’t work from the day I arrived and only produced boiling water. Reception said a plumber would come right away, but during my five days there it was never fixed, and I had to use another room each time. I asked to check out early because the situation wasn’t acceptable, but the hotel wouldn’t help or offer even partial credit. It looks nice in pictures, but in reality it’s very old and rundown. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but travelers should be warned. I would not recommend staying here.

What I like is that it feels like being at home, not in a hotel. We had several business meetings there with the privacy we wanted, and the place attracts interesting people. This is where I’ll stay whenever I go to Uruguay.

They kept our money after we accidentally cancelled, then wouldn’t let us stay. When we called, they hung up and wouldn’t answer again. We went by to see the hotel, and the neighborhood itself was good and walkable, with cafes and lots of Tudor houses. The hotel was run down, and the people were remarkably rude. Give it a miss.

We only stayed one short night before an early morning flight, and everything was fantastic: the room, service, and location. The extra king bed was super comfortable. A lovely experience.
