27 Suites Apart Hotel

We were there for eight days, and the reception team and cleaning crew made things easy throughout. Our room was roomy and comfortable, and having a kitchenette meant we hardly needed to eat out. The location was just right too, a block from the Rambla, which was great for my runs. Even though 27 Suites Apart Hotel is rated three stars, the service felt like five-star service. My wife and I had a pleasant, worry-free stay, and the price was very affordable. We'd happily recommend it in Montevideo.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the area is handy for walking, with the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores close by. There's a 15-mile walkway along the water. Our air conditioning worked well, the kitchenette was good so far, and the bed seemed comfortable. We had been told our room would face the water, but it faced the city instead, which was fine with us. The furnishings are a bit sparse, and the bathroom could use more shelves since there's not enough space for a week's worth of cosmetics. We'd stay again.

We were on the ninth floor in a spacious street-facing room. It had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and safe, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was large, though the shower itself was tiny, about 70x70 cm, and the water pressure was low. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood near the ramblas, with the city center not too far away. A taxi takes about an hour to walk there, or costs around 300uyd; if you can figure out the buses, one from the ramblas costs 44uyd. The staff were very friendly and quickly sorted out a small wi-fi problem.

The staff helped me arrange a private ride to the airport on Christmas Eve. The location is hard to beat, and I'd gladly stay here again.
