Vivaldi Hotel Loft Punta Carretas

The staff were really nice, and breakfast was very good, but cleanliness was a serious problem. The hotel needs a thorough clean and a fresh coat of paint. In the first room, the AC was broken, noisy and dusty. After I called about it, they moved me to another room, but that one was dusty too. I wiped down the room and used a towel to clean the floor. The bed and pillows had fresh covers, but the rest of the room hadn't been cleaned, and the bathroom exhaust fan didn't work. I mentioned the problems to the receptionist the day before I left. She said I should have told them at the time. That's fair, but I'm not someone who complains about everything, so I handled the cleaning myself. They didn't offer anything for the fact that I'd had to clean the room. I wasn't looking for freebies, but something could have been done. I wouldn't recommend staying unless you inspect the room first.

There were plenty of bars, restaurants and other amenities nearby, and the hotel was very close to the shopping center. Our room was huge and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was nice, with eggs, potatoes, omelet, alfajores, cakes, bread, ham, cheese and some fruit, but it was the same each day.

Breakfast was good, but I wouldn't stay here again. The staff were really bad, and the service carts are left in the hallways all the time. They smell absolutely vile.

The reception, staff and facilities were excellent, and the place was clean and well organized. At the tables, it'd help if they cleared things quickly after guests leave. It'd also make life easier for visitors to have a minibar selection or a self-service snack machine with water, tea, coffee and similar things.
