We stopped here overnight while travelling between Colonia and the Tacuarembó district. It's a simple posada and good value, though I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay. For dinner, head to Casa Meira for pizza.

The patio and veranda are lovely spots to spend the evening. Inside, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the riverfront setting gets a 10 from me. There's room for breakfast service and a shared kitchen, which would be useful since every room has a refrigerator.
We left as soon as we arrived. The rooms were dark and shabby, and the welcome felt half-hearted. In a town with almost no shops, they barely even provide an electric kettle. A real disappointment. Don't bother going.
The inn has a lovely old feel, with antiques from the Garbarino family, who lived there for generations. Its front garden looks out over the river. Rooms are comfortable, with private bathrooms and air conditioning. Breakfast costs extra, but the price seems reasonable for what's offered. Highly recommended.
The staff really seem to care about making your stay comfortable, and the service is excellent. It's a colonial-style place with a great view of the natural landscape along the Uruguay River. The setting and space would also work well for an event. Thanks, Gloria.
