The view across to Punta del Este is the real draw here. The rooms were nice, though the scenery outshone them. A lovely choice for a romantic getaway, and I’d come back.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. The complex itself is clean, pleasant, and clearly well maintained, and there’s an elevator. The covered parking spaces are pretty cramped. In our room, the smoke detector kept going off because its battery was dead. The sheets, comforters, and towels didn’t look very clean, and the sun-faded curtains could use replacing. The shower screen only covers half the area, so a full enclosure would be better.

I liked the comfortable apartments and their nice views, and the place looks very modern. Some details, like the bedroom door, feel cheaply made. There’s also a $10 charge if you leave the dishes unwashed, since dishwashing isn’t part of the service. My main issue was the stained linens and towels. It’s unpleasant to use them in that condition, and they should improve this. That’s why I gave it 3 stars.

The service was very good, and the views are definitely beautiful. The location is so windy, though, and most apartments don’t have heated pools, so there’s rarely much chance to enjoy them. Some apartments do have covered parking.
