Hotel Terrazas de la Viuda

The sunrise and ocean view from the second-floor suite balcony were priceless. We spent three beautiful days in Punta del diablo, and the hotel looked just like the pictures. It's well maintained, without luxuries, but had everything we needed to feel at home. All the employees were great, always ready to help and check whether we needed anything else. Breakfast was delicious.

The receptionist was super friendly and brought breakfast up to our room. There was a good variety of food. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It had a safe, TV, air conditioner, minifridge, microwave, coffee machine, and water heater. The shower has a massage setting that I didn't try, and the water took a while to heat up. You can see the beach from the balcony, and it's about a five-minute walk away. The balcony is a lovely spot for sunrise. The area is calm but windy, and it's a 10-15 minute walk to the city center, where there's a street with restaurants and bars. The hotel pool had medium-warm water. Santa Theresa national Park is free to enter and about a 10-minute drive away. I can recommend a visit. Surfing is possible depending on the season.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. With our very limited Spanish, we got by thanks to their patience, hand gestures, and good humor. Breakfast each morning was nice, with juice, coffee, toast, eggs, cheese, and ham. Water and some other drinks are available to buy in the lobby. It's a comfortable three-star hotel in Punte Del Diablo, about a 15-minute walk from the restaurant and bar strip along the beach. We booked during peak season, so the rates felt a bit steep for a three-star place, but that's supply and demand at work.

The rooms are large and comfortable, with great ocean views. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with a warm pool and a fabulous beach.
