The street is quiet and the beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, which is ideal. The hotel itself needs a lot of work before it can really be what they call a 4-star place. The exterior walls are cracked, the indoor pool looks questionable and possibly has algae, and the elevators need maintenance. Inside, the air conditioner shuts off at random and needs general maintenance. The bedding was stained, there was mold and rust in the bathroom, the shower handles were almost falling off, and the toilet didn’t flush properly. The shower head and water pressure were terrible too. The room safe was just a random box with no keypad. They give you only one room card even if you have several guests, and losing it costs 5 USD. Cheap! I do NOT recommend this hotel.

The setting is beautiful, and the other places along the seafront look far better, so this stay was a real letdown. The hotel feels tired and dirty and needs a lot of TLC. I had bed bugs in my first room, and the shower head wouldn’t stay on its bracket, so I changed rooms soon after arriving. The next room was only a little better: ants everywhere, stained bedding, dirty towels, and mold all over the bathroom. Breakfast was poor, with little choice and not much that was good unless you like cake. The staff were okay, but seemed unwilling to open the bar when asked. The online photos must be old.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, and breakfast was decent with a good range. Service was okay. I felt they didn’t offer tourists much advice about what was going on nearby, which is why I’m giving it four stars.

There’s underground parking, which is a plus around here, and breakfast is probably the best part: super tasty, with lots of variety. The hotel itself is very outdated.
