Getting around is easy from here: the beach, shops, and restaurants are all close. We also appreciated the private underground garage and being able to borrow beach chairs and an umbrella. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the friendly staff were happy to help. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the smart TV made it easy to sign into our own apps, including Netflix. The hotel has a warm, welcoming feel, with lovely decor that made us comfortable right away. We had a very pleasant stay and would gladly come back.

The staff were attentive and very helpful. Since we had to check out early, they made us a great breakfast just for us. The rooms were modern, clean, and really nice, with a great bathroom and balcony. It's centrally located, within walking distance of the main city center.

Hotel Ambar opened in Oct 2022 and is a gorgeous place, with every detail in the design carefully done. It takes about a 5-7 minute walk to reach the best beach in Punta del Este, and guests can use beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels. There's also a pool, rooftop terrace, gym, and sauna. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful.

The rooms are clean and brand new, and breakfast is fine. But the bed is rock hard and the pillows aren't comfortable. The hotel sits on a busy street, directly across from a casino, and music blasts until 3am or later.
