Don Majestic Hotel Punta del Este

Breakfast was good, with plenty to choose from. I stayed three nights at the start of my time in Uruguay, and it was a nice place, within easy walking distance of the beach, some restaurants, and a small shopping mall. Be sure to check out the 16th floor. You can sit there with a coffee and enjoy the view.

The service was impeccable, and I really enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and spacious. Breakfast had good options, including a cappuccino machine. The walks to Mansa and Brava beaches are about 15-20 minutes each.

We'd definitely stay here again, though Uruguay is so far from home that it'll probably be a long time before we return. I loved this hotel and would highly recommend it! The staff were fantastic. It was my birthday while we were there, and they brought dessert up to our room, such a thoughtful gesture. The rooms were spacious and very modern, fitting for a new hotel. I loved that there was no carpet, and the shower was so good I didn't want to get out. Breakfast was included, and eating outside by the pool was a lovely way to start the day.

Breakfast was the one small flaw. The food seemed fine, but with so many people there, it felt like no one was really in charge, and that showed. Even so, I was very impressed with the property and won't stay anywhere else in PdE. The room was large, with a huge stretch of glass that made it the brightest room I've ever been in. The front desk and housekeeping service were excellent and consistently helpful. The modern decor suits the impressive architecture.
