The location makes it easy to get around Punta del Este, and it’s near the best stop. View Building has modern, practical facilities, including heated pools, a sauna, gym, events room, meeting room, concierge and two parking spaces. A spectacular place for a vacation.

Everything’s close by here, so it’s handy for eating out or shopping, and the outdoor pool has a lovely view. I was surprised by how shallow the water was, only up to my hips. The upkeep also needs attention. The jacuzzi was cloudy and very dirty, with sunscreen and limescale in the water.

The location is spectacular: six minutes from the port, one minute from La Mansa beach, five blocks from Parada 5, and three minutes from La Brava beach. Fresh Market is a block away, an English store (Punta Shopping) is two blocks away, and El Devoto supermarket is three minutes away. We stayed with our daughters, ages 5 and 7, and had a really excellent time. There’s a warm outdoor pool upstairs and a heated indoor pool on the ground floor. Both are under a meter deep, which worked well for very young kids. They have a lovely Bali stone-look finish and are non-slip. The common areas were always clean, there’s 24-hour security and four elevators, and the garage gate can be opened whenever you arrive. There’s also a game room, gym and workspace.

The building looks lovely and has great facilities.
