La Quinta Hostel & Suites

The staff are super chill, and the food is really good. Awesome hostel!

We booked through Booking and the amount I paid on arrival was higher than the price shown when I rented the space. The app mentioned taxes and fees but didn't say how much. I also got a bit of a shock at the water and coffee bill, R$ 74,50 for two 500ml waters and two machine-made coffees with milk, though I later realized water seems expensive everywhere. We stayed in a container that was clean and comfortable, with a comfy bed and a really pleasant feel to the place. The team were young, cheerful, polite, and very kind. We missed breakfast because we left early, but there’s a pool, a pool table, and ping pong, and lots of wild birds around the property made it feel especially nice.

The location is quiet and convenient, about a 6-minute walk from the bus stop, shops, kiosks, and restaurants. The shared rooms are comfortable and air-conditioned, the bathrooms always have hot water, and the heated pool and common areas are great. It has everything you’d want from a good hostel for travelers passing through. What really stood out was how helpful and welcoming the staff and owners were. They helped us with everything and were so warm. I’d come back a thousand times. Greetings from Chile!

I loved the hammock area and the heated pool. Pablo and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful, and he made me feel right at home, which you don’t find everywhere these days. I came on someone’s recommendation and was glad I did. Highly recommended!
