Hotel Florinda

The reception team are helpful and friendly, and you can hire bikes from the hotel to explore farther afield. For a short beach-focused visit, it's a nice option. The beach is good for relaxing or surfing, though there's not a lot else to do around here, so two days would probably be enough for most people. It's a charming, small hotel a few blocks from the bus station and an easy walk to the beach. The main high street, with a few restaurants, is also within walking distance. There's a nice walk around the peninsula. Our room was a decent size, but the bathroom felt cramped, despite having a lovely big rain shower head. Breakfast runs in three sittings, so guests have to choose a time.

It's a good value option for the services you might need, with rates below other hotels in the same category. Our room was quite acceptable, and the breakfast was pretty good. During the day, they sell snacks at a relatively low price, certainly less than you'd pay outside. Hotel Florinda is on a quiet street, about 50 meters from the peninsula's main avenue. It's close to the beaches and to popular restaurants at a range of prices. The young front desk clerks were quite efficient at sorting out questions and problems.

Great location, and the breakfast was good. The room was small, but cozy and clean, and a great deal for the price.

The staff were kind and helpful, the location was okay, and the beds were comfortable, but the owner's response was deeply disappointing. They never acknowledged that the booking photos were misleading and did nothing to address our frustration or make us feel fairly treated. I wouldn't recommend this as a 3 star hotel unless you double-check the exact room you've booked. Our two room apartment was old and in VERY bad shape, nothing like the photos on booking. The building is old, with several rooms recently renovated, just not ours. It might have been fine if the pictures represented all the rooms, but the owner had carefully avoided showing the older ones.
