Ocean Drive

A great apartment complex that feels like a five-star resort.

The apartment has two bedrooms, a living-dining room, kitchen and bathroom. It’s well equipped, practical and very comfortable. I rented it directly from the owner for a very good price, especially considering it was the first half of January in Punta del Este. There’s a pool with several loungers, plus two barbecues available for residents to rent. For the second summer in a row, we rented one on January 4. It was very well equipped, with a large refrigerator, a room with a big table and chairs, and bathrooms for men and women. There were 22 of us.

A great place to stay, with tennis courts, soccer, outdoor and heated pools, and a recreation area with pool, ping pong, games and a cinema. There’s also beach service at stop 8 of Brava beach, plus laundry service. Excellent.

The building itself is excellent, with great amenities, security, beach service and a perfect location. But be careful if you rent, because some apartments are terribly maintained. Apartment 406 in tower 1 was a disaster: the refrigerator was broken, and neither the owner nor the real estate agency, Covello, took responsibility. The sofa was ruined, the place was filthy, the walls were stained with blood and snot, and the stove was rotten and barely turned on. The building is great, but some owners and agencies, Covello for example, fall short.
