The room wasn't clean: the sheets were stained, the bathroom was moldy, and I had to ask staff to replace stained towels. The replacement towel was stained too. We booked two nights but left after one. At 2 a.m. that first night, we woke to someone screaming and shrieking in the corridor, then banging and smashing things continuously. It sounded as though someone had broken into the property, which wouldn't have surprised me because security seemed lax. There was no staff around the next morning when we left, so we couldn't complain or ask for a refund for the second night. This was my worst hostel experience so far in South America.

Soledad was the best part of this hostel. She gave guests thoughtful, quality service and really cared about people. She also seemed to understand how to handle different situations, stay flexible, and adapt to help guests have a good experience. I tried other hostels, but this was my favorite in Punta del Este. I felt lucky to find a place with a good location, affordable rooms, a kitchen, and a travel-friendly style. The hostel's lucky to have Soledad on the accommodation staff. Thank you!

This was a really bad experience. The room was tiny, the bathroom wasn't clean, and there was no toilet paper. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, made from two single beds pushed together. They charged as much as a comfortable hotel room, which felt like a ripoff. The photos bore no resemblance to the reality. The hostel was almost closed, and we were the only guests there. 👎🏼

The floors were dirty, bring your own towel, and the WiFi was terrible. The staff at the time spoke English very well. The hostel is about two blocks from both Punta del Este beaches. There's a bar downstairs that opens at 7 p.m. and also serves as the breakfast, TV, common, and lobby space. They sometimes have live music, and speakers play music every night. There's also a pool table, a kitchen, and a grocery store nearby. In the end, the place is what you make of it. We had a great time and met lots of great people.
