I’ve been coming here since 1997, and it’s always been a lovely experience. The spa is excellent and makes the hotel a great place to relax and recharge. Back in the early years, Mr. Julian Safi was chairman, a young, educated man with real courtesy and good manners. His father leads the hotel now and carries himself with that same elegance and politeness.

The catering was a complete mess. The bartenders seemed incompetent, the fast food was tacky, and they used gas bottles indoors to cook smelly food by the indoor pool. Breakfast was mostly carbs and sugar, and eggs arrived too late to be put on the menu. The resort is isolated, so you’re stuck relying on this food unless you go without. There are much cheaper places in the area, apparently far better too, so I’d avoid this resort. The hotel and thermal pools were quite pleasant, if a bit utilitarian. Our room was clean, and the recreational facilities were good.

It’s a lovely area, and the people are friendly, but the cabin’s upkeep was poor. The bathroom had serious plumbing problems. I showed the woman at checkout photos, but got neither an apology nor a discount. I think this could be a good hotel, but check your room carefully before you settle in.

The cabins are comfortable, and the view and pools are great. But the restaurants all serve bad, overpriced food. Service was poor, people weren’t polite, and the place wasn’t very clean either.
