The building and garden give the impression that this could once have been a good hotel, and a thorough renovation seems possible. But the rooms need renovation and cleaning. The beaded curtains, apparently chosen to look “chic,” just collect dust, and the beds are uncomfortable. Our friend had arranged one price, but it was changed to a higher one, perhaps a tourist price. Breakfast was almost nonexistent, with empty containers on the table. I can’t recommend staying here unless major renovation work is done.

I had to leave, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The prices don’t match the quality at all. The rooms smelled worse than the university dorm where I lived in the 2000s. The beds should have been replaced 10 years ago, and there were some kind of winged insects in the room. Nothing about it felt reassuring, and comfort was out of the question. I’d never give it more than one star. It seemed more like a hostel for mardikors (general laborers), though even they would find the prices out of reach. Save yourself the trouble.

The courtyard is beautiful, with a pool, pine trees, and an open terrace for lunch or just sitting outside. The exterior looks gorgeous too, with artificial trees lit up, real flowers and trees nearby, and nighttime lighting that makes quite an impression. Inside is nice, and the rooms are clean, though the plumbing is worn and will need replacing soon. The hotel feels cozy and good overall. Just don’t expect it to be in the city center. It takes about 10 minutes by taxi to get there. I was very disappointed that the staff didn’t speak Russian. People working with foreign guests, in my opinion, should know at least Russian and English. Am I wrong?
