We had a REALLY VERY BAD experience here. Before booking, I called and messaged the hotel on WhatsApp to check whether they could take us, since we expected to arrive in Bukhara from Samarkand around 12:30mn to 1am. The manager said that was fine, so I booked a twin bedroom through booking.com. Then, before we left Samarkand at about 8:30pm, I messaged again to remind them we would be checking in late, and they replied "ok". We got to the hotel at around 1am, only to be told by the receptionist that he'd move us to another hotel because Hotel Ansi was already full. It was a few meters away. He said Ansi had several other hotel branches. The receptionist there showed us a twin bedroom, but it was old, dirty, and dusty, and the kettle still had water in it that seemed to have been sitting there a long time. I was already very angry, so they offered a bigger, somewhat cleaner room at a higher price. The receptionist said it was a different hotel, not Hotel Ansi and not their branch. Despite all the trouble Ansi caused, they did nothing to solve the problem. They only said the guest in the room we were meant to get had extended their stay. What a lame excuse! We left at 3am and checked into another guest house, exhausted and tired. Ansi never apologized. After looking into the hotel, I found that they were doing this habitually to guests, accepting bookings when full and moving people to nearby hotels. Some guests may be lucky and get taken to a good, clean hotel. PLEASE BEWARE!

A cozy hotel in a great location, with friendly staff, a comfortable room, and a delicious breakfast.

The family running this place were warm and helpful, and the rooms were large and clean. Breakfast had a big spread and was incredible value for money. It's a clean, neat hotel close to the main attractions, too. Since it's a small home-run business, they charge extra for card payments, so bring cash if you want to avoid that.

The hosts were really kind and friendly, and breakfast was the best we had on our trip to Uzbekistan. Such a lovely little gem in an outstanding spot in Bukhara.

It's a small hotel that's clean and quiet, near the centre, and impressively decorated. They provide bottled water, tea, fresh juice, and seasonal fruit at no extra charge. The service was great, but what stood out most was their honesty. I paid for three nights instead of two, and he heard us talking about our next stop, found the details of our next hotel, and arranged to send my money there. Bravo to him.
