The heritage decor is charming, the property is beautiful, and the location is great for staying in old Bukhara. But the service was disappointing, and the staff seemed more focused on money than hospitality. When we arrived, the manager was quite adamant that we cancel our Booking.com reservation and book directly with them in cash for a ‘better deal'. We asked for an extra blanket, but none was available. Later, after we bought a water bottle, staff repeatedly asked us to pay cash each time we passed reception, even though we had asked them to add it to our final bill. Manager Amir was also rude and dismissive in all our interactions. The poor customer service spoiled what could have been a great stay.

The staff told me I was only their second guest, since the hotel had just opened. It’s family-run and right in central old Bukhara, with shops and restaurants easy to reach on foot. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to, and breakfast each morning was decent. There were a few new-hotel hiccups, but once I mentioned them, the staff sorted them out without any fuss. I hope they do well, and I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The manager made us feel welcome, and the hotel was clean, central, and had a lovely breakfast. We stayed two nights and had everything we needed. They also arranged a private transfer to Tashkent for us at a really good price.

The rooms were fantastic, and you can walk to just about everything from this hotel in the middle of the old city. It’s the best hotel I’ve stayed at.

The location and decor were great during our two-night stay in March 24, but the service was terrible. We found the staff unwelcoming and unprofessional. Their card machine didn’t work at all while we were there, and they couldn’t give us a receipt when we paid. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend it.
