Atrium Hotel

The location is right by the attractions, despite what one review said about being far from the center. We had no trouble like the person who reported a break-in, either. The staff seem mostly like university students, a bit inexperienced but generally friendly and trying their best. Some complaints about things being below standard seem unfair for a place that isn't priced like a five-star hotel. Our rooms were clean, which matters most to me. They aren't cleaned daily unless you ask, but I was fine with that since I mainly wanted fresh towels. We had three rooms and none of the AC worked. In fall, opening the windows was enough to let the cool night air in, though I can see it being an issue in summer. One room also had a very slow, clogged shower drain. Breakfast was included, but served at another hotel about a five-minute walk away. It was a lovely setting, and maybe we should have booked there instead. The stay was workable, though there’s room to improve. One last thing: don't use the hotel laundry unless you're desperate. A single load cost us 45 USD.

The host was kind and really helpful, and breakfast had plenty of variety and was good quality. The hotel has recently been renovated and is close to central Bukhara. We got the best bed and ballroom of our trip through Oezbekistan and Kyrgystan. Great value for the money. I'd definitely recommend it, and thank you for the stay!

The location is handy for the old town, and the guys there are nice. But as seems common around Uzbekistan, they really like the heat. Our room was so toasty it was hard to breathe.

We chose this hotel for its location and had a pleasant welcome when we arrived in the afternoon. After going out to explore, I woke around 2:00 AM to keys rattling at the door. I warned my husband that someone was trying to get in, then the door creaked open. A man stood there looking at us. I screamed, and my husband chased him away before trying to calm me down. I couldn't sleep after that, and for days I hesitated to write this because I wanted to forget it. The shock felt like a serious heart attack. The next morning, the man who came in was identified as a hotel employee and apologized. They said he thought the room was empty and checked because he saw a light, but I was asleep and there was no light on. I can't accept that explanation. Then the following day, while we were out, someone tried the door with a key again. We didn't catch them. At reception, we complained, and they told us it must have been an accident.
