Daro Hotel

Good quality at a good price!

Ali at the front desk is what made this hotel especially memorable for us. He was thoughtful, respectful, professional, and always ready to help. We became wonderful friends during our stay. The hotel itself is small and charming, in a clean, quiet neighborhood that felt very safe. Most of the city's main sights are a 10-15 minute walk away. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with pastries and samsa being made right in the kitchen where you could watch. The rooms were clean and practical, and good value for the price. We'd highly recommend staying here and would gladly return.

Ali at the front desk worked incredibly hard and was always there to go above and beyond, which is a big part of why Daro was my favorite hotel in Uzbekistan. The rooms were beautiful and very clean, and the laundry service was excellent. There's a nice terrace, too. It's about a 20-minute walk from the historic city center, or a quick trip by yandex. Highly recommend.

It takes a bit of a walk to reach the tourist area, but that wasn't a problem for me. The thick, old door, said to be hundreds of years old, opened onto a wonderful world. The interior, service, and food were all top-notch. I especially loved the breakfast buffet, with its range of breads, pies, and desserts. It was so good I went back for seconds. They served pomegranate juice, a local specialty, along with green tea and a coffee machine with different options. I could hang my laundry on the terrace, which was a big help. The two staff members were gentle and kind, and made me feel at ease. I was happy they played Despacito at breakfast. I want to come back!
