Orom Hotel

I went to the hotel to ask about a room I’d seen on Booking.com at a reasonable price, but they refused to honor that listing and quoted me six times as much. It felt like low online prices were being used to draw people in, then leaving them feeling they had no other choice once they arrived. That bait-and-switch felt deeply unprofessional and unethical. Be very cautious. I’d confirm the price with them in writing before making travel plans, or choose somewhere more transparent.

A good option if you want to spend time in the old city, with historical sites nearby and decent rooms for the price. The beds could be a bit better, but the essentials are there. Breakfast is offered, and the employees are kind 💗

We booked two months ahead, but when we arrived they told us, without explaining why, that we had to stay at a different, lower-quality hotel and pay the same rate. We had no choice but to go there. It smelled a bit, and the breakfast was quite bad. A very poor experience. I don’t recommend this place.

The first day was already frustrating. I arrived at 10 AM and was told check-in would be at 1 PM. I waited, but the room still wasn’t ready then. When I called at 1:30, nobody answered, and I only got in after 2:30. The next morning, electricity and water went off at 9. Staff said it would be fixed by noon, so I extended for another day, but at 5 PM both were still out. My phone was nearly dead, I couldn’t shower, and I couldn’t rest properly. I had a flight from Samarkand the next morning, and when I asked when water would return, they said it was outside their control. I ended up leaving for Samarkand without spending the second night. At checkout they didn’t give me the proper registration document. They sent it later on Telegram with the wrong date. Even though I left because basic services were unavailable, they called asking me to pay for that day. This place seems focused on collecting money, with little regard for guest comfort or service. I wouldn’t recommend it.
