Sahid Zarafshon Hotel

The staff made me feel at home, from check-in right through to departure, and the service was seamless. A special thanks to dilshod from the breakfast staff and concierge abbos. My room was spacious and a comfortable place to return to after exploring. Breakfast had a great selection, and the hotel has a well-kept fitness center, a refreshing pool, and a grand, roomy lobby. It’s also within walking distance of supermarkets and the main city areas, with the historic Ark of Bukhara just a short taxi ride away. Whether you’re visiting for the history or a relaxing break, this feels like an ideal base. I’d highly recommend staying here.

We were upgraded to a larger corner room on a high floor, and really enjoyed the extra space. The location worked well, right at the edge of the old town, and the larger rooms are a plus compared with the small boutique hotels inside it. Front desk and breakfast staff were excellent, though I wished the breakfast spread had my usual muesli. We didn’t use the spa or big pool, but both looked inviting. Good value for money.

The rooms are modern, clean, spacious, and have large bathrooms. There are indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, sauna, and full-service spa, plus a souvenir shop on site and several restaurants nearby. The hotel is in a great spot in the heart of Bukhara, with easy access to Markaziy Stadium-Bukhoro and Ulugbek Medressa. I also liked the big dining room and the excellent variety at breakfast. Sahid Zarafshon Hotel is a solid family-friendly option with a convenient location and good amenities.

Room 217 was extremely small, much smaller than the picture suggested. We couldn’t open two suitcases at once. The wardrobe was beside the window rather than near the entrance, so opening a suitcase in front of it blocked access to both the wardrobe and desk. It was 28C inside, and the air conditioning blew hot air. When we called reception, they suggested turning it off, so we had to open the window instead. It faced the outdoor pool, which is open 24 hours, and we could still hear noise at 11am. The bathroom was very worn. The shower was so cramped I couldn’t turn around without touching the curtain, and there was nothing to keep water from spraying out. The floor was completely wet after showering.
