Fayz Hostel

For the price, especially as a walk-in, this was probably about as cheap as I could find, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the location was good. The bathroom could have been cleaner, the kitchen stove didn't work, and the beds were rock hard, so I didn't sleep comfortably. I left early, before breakfast starts at 8:00, but the staff kindly made some for me. It's very basic, but for one night you get what you pay for and it's alright.

It was actually better than some of the other guests made it sound. The room was clean, and the toilet and shower worked well. The kitchen had a nice view. The manager(?) guy didn't speak English but was helpful. It's a little far from the Palace, though still walkable in 25min. Breakfast is included, and the price was good.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel / hostel. The staff were so kind and friendly, and the dorm was spacious, clean, and had good air conditioning. Wifi was strong too. There was free tea and coffee all day, plus a lovely, calming view from the kitchen. Breakfast included Uzbek rice-milk pudding and fresh bread. Great stay for a very nice price. Thank you! Kokand is historic and interesting, and the people are friendly too.

The walls are a bit thin, so sounds from other rooms carry through. Still, the rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the guys at reception were really kind and helpful. The location was okay too. A little walking gets you to everything you want to see.
