Tashkent Hotel

I booked at the last minute after the place I wanted was unavailable, and I hadn't been sure what to expect. I chose this hotel because it was within walking distance of Nukus's main attractions. The clean, all-white minimalist lobby made a good first impression, and the room and bathroom were much bigger than I expected. There were lots of windows and a good view, though I couldn't open the doors to step onto the balcony. Breakfast was good, with plenty to choose from, including lots of sweet pastries, which I love. You enter through a secret door beside the lift, but it was closed most of the time and only open during breakfast. The location was convenient too, across from the park and about a kilometer's walk from the Satvitsky Art museum. Recommended.

The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to help with whatever you need. The rooms are basic but spacious, the location is good, and it’s good value for the price. Breakfast is weak. Even so, this remains the best hotel option in Nukus.

The main weak point is breakfast, which wasn't good. Still, I'm afraid this may be the only more or less good hotel in Nukus compared with the others. I'm glad with the hotel overall: reception was helpful and arranged a transfer, and the rooms were clean. There was some bad odor in the bathroom, though.

The rooms are great, and the reception staff are lovely. Dinner service could use better-trained staff, breakfast is average, and the lighting in the rooms is patchy. Even with those issues, this is easily the best place to stay in Nukus.
